Puffy Paint Handprint Polar Bear Art {Winter Craft for Kids}

My kids and the two kids I was baby-sitting made a Puffy Paint Winter Craft. All the kids enjoyed making them, but my toddler especially enjoyed feeling the homemade paint! The puffy paint is just white school glue mixed with shaving cream.

Handprint Winter Tree, Handprint Polar Bear, Puffy Paint

To make the Handprint Winter Tree, trace the hand as well as the arm and then color it in. Have them make fingerprint snowflakes. My 2 year old made a big, snowy mess at the top of her tree. The kids also painted snow on the ground.

I painted each kids hand with the puffy paint one at a time and made Handprint Polar Bears with them. Don't forget to have them make a tail and the ears! After it dried, I drew on facial features and bear claws with a permanent marker. The marker did not work very well for this purpose so I would suggest using black paint instead.

The paint is still puffy/raised 2 months later!
